For this third installment, the camera followed the essential stages of composer Philipp Maintz’s work, in collaboration with Robin Meier, a music technology director.
What are the underground currents of this ocean that Maintz has navigated over the past months? Inspired by Les Chants de Maldoror by Lautréamont, and serving as the first step in an opera project, the new work by the young Berlin-based composer resonates with instrumental oscillations amplified by electronic processing, gradually emerging around American soprano Marisol Montalvo.
