Founded in 2019, Ircam Amplify, a subsidiary of IRCAM, develops and commercializes expertise and technologies emerging from the laboratory in the form of products and services. Acting as a bridge between cutting-edge audio research and industry worldwide, Ircam Amplify contributes to the evolution of sound in the 21st century. As cultural and creative industries become increasingly strategic for national and European economies, IRCAM’s research and technologies support innovation across a wide range of sectors. IRCAM’s distinctive approach to sound design—integrating both the aesthetic and functional dimensions of sound in everyday environments—also reflects growing recognition in industries such as transportation, luxury, and healthcare that sound plays a central role in human experience.
IRCAM Forum brings together the international community of users of IRCAM’s software technologies, with more than 150,000 registered members. It serves as the primary channel for disseminating these technologies beyond IRCAM’s internal artistic productions. Members of the Forum—artists, educators, researchers, and engineers—access IRCAM technologies in their most open and experimental forms. The high level of programmability of these environments allows them to be adapted to a wide range of artistic and technical approaches. They are also widely used by both startups and major companies to prototype advanced audio-processing applications.
