Committed to educating new generations, IRCAM delivers advanced programs designed to prepare the next generation of sound professionals, in addition to cultural outreach initiatives guided by principles of openness, accessibility, and inclusion.
Distinguished graduate programs enable students to pursue careers in research and musical creation, including the Master’s in Acoustics, Signal Processing and Computer Science Applied to Music; the DNSEP in Sound Design; and the Cursus in Composition and Computer Music. The highly selective ManiFeste Festival Academy brings together emerging composers from around the world. These offerings are complemented by specialized programs for students of art schools and music conservatories.
Professionals may also enroll in certified thematic training courses on sound creation software, ranging from introductory to advanced levels.
IRCAM also maintains a comprehensive reference documentation center dedicated to contemporary music, accessible at the multimedia library and online via the Ressources website.
To promote broad access to digital culture and live performance, IRCAM implements cultural mediation initiatives for young audiences, school groups, and families, including tours, workshops, artistic discovery pathways, and participatory projects. In keeping with its inclusive mission, IRCAM adapts these initiatives for underserved audiences, particularly individuals with disabilities.
